Our story began while the world seemed to be falling apart: debilitating wildfire smoke, the outcry over social injustice, RBG’s passing…and oh yeah, that little thing called COVID-19! Bored out of our minds and desperate for human connection, Isaac and Becca had no other choice but to place all of their hope in the most prestigious of dating apps: Hinge. Given that literally nothing was open, our first number of dates were walks around northeast Portland. In that time, we learned we have an uncanny number of similarities: both of us were raised Lutheran, we share a Taurus horoscope sign, both of us spent years during childhood performing classical music, both of our grandfathers attended Kansas State University at the same time, a love of the color pink…and for anyone familiar with the Old Testament, we are in fact destined to be together! In what feels like a blink of an eye, 3 years have gone by. In that time, we met each other’s families and Isaac mustered the courage to move out of his parent’s attic, only to buy the house directly next door. Since living together, we have embarked on a number of home improvement projects and enjoy spending time together with family and friends in our shared backyard. For anyone who has been over to our place on a Friday night, you surely understand our appreciation of bbq, bonfires, jam sessions, disco lights and impromptu dance parties. We are truly blessed by the community of people we love and get to call friends and family. We are excited and honored to have you join us as we start this new chapter of our lives together!
