Question

What is happening?

Answer

See the Schedule page for an expected schedule of events from Sunday through Tuesday.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The theme is summer camp at a lake in the woods. The weather will be in the 80s. Bring bathing suits and comfortable clothes and leave the ties at home. For context: at the wedding, Callie will wear some form of a sundress and Birkenstocks. Isaac will be barefoot. He will probably put on a shirt for the wedding. Don't worry about it.

Question

What will we do all day?

Answer

Outside of the ceremony and potluck on Monday evening, everything is optional. The Schedule page gives an outline of where Isaac & Callie will be each day; we'd love for you to join as much as sounds fun for you! On Monday and Tuesday, we'll have a boat for skiing and tubing, kayaks and canoes, summer camp crafts and games, and plenty of space to just sit and enjoy the lake. See the Things To Do page for a list of our favourite things to do in the area that you could enjoy on Monday morning or if you're staying a few extra days.

Question

What about food?

Answer

Isaac & Callie like potlucks! We will provide meals throughout. If you'd like to contribute funds to help cover the cost, we'd be grateful but don't expect it. We'll pass a virtual hat at the wedding. The ceremony dinner is intentionally a potluck; we'll provide brats and veggie brats and we'd love for the community bring sides and desserts (it can be straight from Costco, we don't care). Remember to let us know which meals you'll join and what you'll bring to the potluck on the form (we emailed you!).

Question

Does the property have trees for hammock camping?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of space and trees for hammock and/or tent camping.

Question

Will there be showers for campers?

Answer

Yes, we will make an outdoor shower for those camping and have extra port-a-potties for everyone.

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

If you're driving, it would be great if you could bring camp chairs or picnic blankets for yourself or to share. We'll have a few tables and chairs available for those who need them, but expect most meals to be BYOC/find a place wherever! We will provide cold water throughout. Bring your favourite alcoholic/NA drinks to share throughout the week. We'll have coolers to store them in.

Question

What should I not bring?

Answer

Please don't bring dogs or cats or parrots or any pets of any kind. We're a big group with diverse histamine responses.
