U.S. passport holders traveling to China may qualify for a 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit if you are flying to a third destination country afterward (e.g., USA -> China -> Japan). Because eligibility rules are very strict and round-trips do not qualify, we strongly recommend double-checking your specific itinerary rules.
