True North Kayak Adventures
True North offers 1/2 day and full day kayak adventures around Kachemak Bay. A great way to see wildlife and get out on the water. Not recommended for young kids!
Maverick Charters
If you like fishing, you can go fishing! Full and half day halibut & salmon fishing charters available.
Seldovia Wildlife Tour
All day wildlife and Seldovia, AK trip. This is a great way to get on the water & see Kachemak Bay with kiddos!
Hiking
There are numerous hikes available in the Homer area. Some require a water taxi across the bay (~$100) to experience and some are right here in town! We recommend: Diamond Creek & Eveline for hikes in town. Grace Ridge & Grewingk Glacier for hikes across the bay.
Seward, AK
If you plan to extend your trip in Alaska, Seward is a great destination. It's about a 3.5 hour drive from Homer, and is a detour stop on the way to Anchorage. It would make a great stop on the way down to Homer or back to Anchorage. There are wildlife & glacier tours (https://www.alaskacollection.com/day-tours/kenai-fjords-tours/tours), fishing & kayaking trips, hikes, and the Alaska Sealife Center (https://www.alaskasealife.org). There are hotels, airbnb, and camping options available.

Two Sister's Bakery: fresh bread, pastries, soups and sandos. Wed-Sat 10-3 Red Bird Cafe: our caterer! They have wraps, nachos, boba tea and great desserts! Kraken Cafe: Fabulous place to get a good cup of coffee and a donut from BB's Bakery: Our friends own this place and Kraken. Fantastic donuts! Mikes: An east coast deli in a small Alaskan town Swell Taco: Fresh, organic tacos with local seafood Sea Sweets: Great candy shop with fresh, made to order mini donuts Shoreline Scoops: Our friends just opened this great ice cream spot! Same boardwalk on the spit as their other shop, Sea Sweets
