Are kids welcome?

Answer

Your wedding invite is for your whole family, kids are welcome at all the events! Willie and Ophelia cannot wait to play with their friends- new and old! We will have a trampoline for both kids and adults, as well as lawn games, kid friendly snacks and a swingset/play area. Additional kid friendly activities include: The Homer Library, Islands and Oceans Center, The Homer Theater, Homer Spit Trail, Bishop's Beach (tide pooling), The Pratt Museum, and Karen Hornaday Park..

What is the weather like?

Answer

Weather in Homer in the summer is hit or miss. It could be sunny and gorgeous or cloudy and rainy. We suggest bringing layers and being prepared for anything. The wedding reception will have some covered areas, patio heaters, and firepits. We suggest some weather-appropriate footwear for the wedding as well. If we have a rainy summer like we are having this summer, we may have some mud or boggy areas to walk around/through.

How do we get there?

Answer

Once you make it to Homer, we will get you to the wedding! There will be a shuttle bus starting at 2:00PM from town to transport our guest to the venue (our house). The shuttle is available all night, so if you need to leave- fear not! More details on shuttle times to follow. If you need to drive to our house for the wedding, please let us know as parking is limited. There is some parking on our main road, but the road is narrow, and there is limited space close to the house.
