Alaska's weather can be temperamental. Our recommendation is to check the weather the week of your trip. It can be warm and sunny (mid 70's ) or rainy and cool. Evenings will probably be cool. The wedding venue may be windy. However it will not get dark!
We recommend booking your car as one of the first things you should do. Costcotravel.com and Turo are both excellent options.
BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS EARLY!! While Anchorage is our main hub, the wedding does take place 40 miles north of Anchorage (45 minute drive one-way) in Palmer, Alaska. If you plan on drinking at the wedding, please plan to book a single-night room in Palmer, Alaska (this is the closest option about 5 min from venue) or Wasilla, AK (about 15-20 min). The venue does accommodate overnight campers/glampers. RVs, tents, hammocks etc. are all welcome. If this is what you choose please let us know ahead of time so we can inform our hosts.
