We are flying into Shannon instead of Dublin since it is only about an hour away. We plan on renting a car, but the driving situation may be tricky (often rentals are stick shift, steering wheel is on the right, roads are small, and they drive on the left side of the road) and we suggest doing some research before making a decision about your transportation plans.
