When in Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is incredibly special to us. Iraia was born here, and since we met, we’ve made it a point to come back as often as we can — at least four times a year. It’s become one of our happiest places, full of memories, traditions, and moments that feel like home. When it came time to choose where to get married, Ryan felt there was truly no better place than the island that means so much to us. Old San Juan is one of our favorite places in the world, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you here. Both our Welcome Party and our Wedding Reception will take place in Old San Juan, making the area a perfect home base for the weekend.

Where to Stay

We’ve secured a room block at El Convento Hotel, our wedding venue. Rooms are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Old San Juan also has countless beautiful Airbnbs, boutique hotels, and larger hotels within walking distance. You’re welcome to stay anywhere you prefer — just keep in mind that traffic around Old San Juan can get busy on weekends. We recommend adding 20–30 extra minutes to your travel time on the wedding day if you're staying outside the area. If you need help choosing where to stay, feel free to reach out to the couple.

Getting Here

The nearest airport is Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) — only a 15–20 minute ride to Old San Juan. Easy and convenient for most travelers.

Getting Around

Uber is the easiest and most reliable way to get around San Juan. Parking in Old San Juan is extremely limited, so rideshare is usually the best option.

La Casita de Los Rones is also nearby and within walking distance of the hotel — a great option for a quick rum tasting without leaving Old San Juan. Nightlife Old San Juan has endless bars, rooftops, and lounges for drinks and dancing. Historic Spots From the hotel, walk to El Morro or Castillo San Cristóbal for incredible views and a taste of history Wander the Streets Colorful buildings, cobblestones, and cute shops make exploring a must.
