DO NOT follow your GPS or Map Quest to get to ThorpeWood – these often get people LOST and/or send you the long/unsafe way to ThorpeWood, if you get here! We are on the mountain so cell reception and Internet accessibility is not reliable. Please follow the directions from our website to the main lodge. This road is very windy and narrow. The best route is to take rt 77 to catoctin hollow Rd. If you get lost or need directions on the day of the wedding, PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE BRIDE OR GROOM! We will be getting married outside at the Pine Cathedral. (Signs will direct you to the location) Please be prepared for weather. We will have hot cocoa and hot cider set up for guests. There will also be a fire pit to keep warm. Please also be mindful of your shoe wear, the ground may be soft. As a gift from us please grab some hand warmers. Blankets will be available to borrow but must be returned. In the event of inclement weather, the wedding ceremony site will take place inside the Barn.
After the ceremony you will be directed to the lodge. Cocktail hour will take place on the bottom floor and patio. A fire pit will also be available. For the reception you will be directed upstairs to your tables. If handicap accommodations are needed, the staff will assist getting you to our different areas.

Please be advised and aware that we are having a peanut free event. We have some family/friends with severe allergies, and while the day may be heavily attended by healthcare personnel, we all want to enjoy the day!
Our venue is a Green Venue. Smoking is permitted OUTSIDE in designated areas, please dispose of your buds in the appropriate bins.
