Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox
If you like baseball, beer, peanuts, or hanging out with amazing people, you should go to this baseball game! Tickets for Iovan-Weiss wedding guests are reserved and available for $27. Stephanie, David, and their immediate families will be at a rehearsal dinner and not at the game. However, we hope our guests get tickets in this section and start the celebration together! Meet us at The Yard after :)
Detroit Institute of Arts
RESERVATIONS REQUIRED The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), located in Midtown Detroit, Michigan, has one of the largest and most significant art collections in the United States. The DIA collection is regarded as among the top six museums in the United States with an encyclopedic collection which spans the globe from ancient Egyptian and European works to contemporary art. The DIA campus is located in Detroit's Cultural Center Historic District, about two miles (3 km) north of the downtown area.
Eastern Market
An amazing outdoor arts and food market north of Downtown Detroit. Walk through the multiple "sheds" of the market, grab some tasty treats and coffee then walk around astern Market's city blocks to see the incredible graffiti and street art.
Midtown
Spend an afternoon or morning walking around the Midtown neighborhood of Detroit. We recommend checking out the Jolly Pumpkin Brewery for tasty local beer, browsing at the original Shinola store next door, then walking down west Canfield St to see the historic homes of the golden ages of Detroit.
Detroit Riverwalk
Walk or bike along the newly renovated river walk! We'd suggest paring this with a trip to eastern market. Take the "Dequindre Cut" between the river walk and eastern market. The cut is a recently built pathway on an old rail line.
Corktown
One of Detroit's oldest districts and greatest food neighborhoods. Be sure to check out Two James Distillery, Hello Records, and Slows BBQ.
Motown Museum
Set in the house that started it all, this museum is a must-see.
Greektown
Historic District, Casinos, Bars, and Open-Air Food
Guardian Building
Built in 1928, it is one of the best and boldest example of art deco architecture and interior design and is a designated historical landmark.
