Idara's Version: One Sunday in March of 2023, I saw a handsome man in a blue suit sitting in the row in front of me at church. When he turned around to greet my friends who were visitors that day, his smile and dimples made me blush. After service, we greeted each other and ended up having quite a lengthy conversation. We were both new to the Metro Atlanta area at that time and agreed to explore the city together. Over one year later, we’ve tried new restaurants, gone to concerts, gone on several road trips, and more! It’s been a beautiful journey of learning about one another and growing into better versions of ourselves. Niyi’s calming presence is a perfect balance to my extroverted tendencies and its been fun getting to know parts of his personality others don’t often see! He is indeed my beloved and friend! (Songs of Solomon 5:16). Niyi's Version: It was the end of March Thanksgiving service at church and we were at the point in the service where we welcomed first-timers. I got up, turned around and my eyes met hers. There was an Akwa-Ibom beauty with a warm smile that captivated me and left me awestruck. After the service we managed to steal a moment to talk, with a simple smile and the exchange of numbers, our story began. In the days, months, and year that followed, we have shared countless laughs, adventures, and memories. Idara, with her strength and warmth has brought so much joy to my life. The church is where our story started, where we will proclaim our love to the world, and where we will begin the next chapter of our story.
