Benvidos á Ría de Vigo

Al ser un espectacular lugar de veraneo, hay muchas opciones de hospedaje para todos los gustos y presupuestos. Os recomendamos que miréis por vuestra cuenta, y estaremos encantados de ayudaros con cualquier cosa. Nuestras únicas recomendaciones es que lo hagáis con tiempo (la boda es en plena temporada alta) y que si queréis estar cerca de nosotros, busquéis sitios entre Baiona y Playa América. Aquí os dejamos cuatro sugerencias. --- Given that Galicia is a spectacular destination, there are many options for accommodation for all tastes and budgets. We invite you to explore on your own, and we'll be happy to help you with anything. Our only recommendations are that you book in advance (the wedding is during the high season) and that if you want to be near us, stay between Baiona and Playa América. Below are four suggestions.

Sugerimos los siguientes lugares que se encuentran a poca distancia en bicicleta: Playa América (la playa de toda la vida de la familia materna de Inés), Patos (playa "joven"), Baiona (hay más alojamientos y ahí es donde están la fiesta), Sabarís (donde los Beamonte Cosín tienen su casa), o Vigo (la ciudad, a unos 30 minutos en coche). ¡Avísanos si tienes dudas o quieres conectarte con otro grupo! --- There are plenty of options to accommodate various budgets, but they sell out pretty quickly, so we would recommend that you book in advance. We suggest the following locations which are all within biking distance: Playa América (the beach Inés has been going to since she was born), Patos (hip beach), Baiona (more accommodations and that's where the nightlife happens), Sabaris (where Inés' family lives), or Vigo (the city, about 30 minutes by car). Además del lugar de celebración de la boda es uno de los mejores sitios donde hospedarse. Vistas para enamorarse y te tratarán como a la realeza. Al llamar o contactar asegúrate de decir que vas a la boda de Inés y Álvaro, ya que te ofrecerán un descuento. --- Apart from being our wedding venue it is also one of the nicest places you could stay. Great views, and they'll treat you like royalty. When you call or contact them to book a room make sure to say you're going to Inés & Álvaro's wedding, as you'll get a discounted price.

Hotel de toda la vida a 1 minuto de Playa América (la playa de toda la vida de la familia materna de Inés). A 30 minutos a pie de Baiona. --- Classic hotel 1 minute from Playa América (the beach where Inés' maternal family has vacationed since forever). 30 minutes by foot to Baiona (the venue).

Camping Bayona Playa

Opción mochilera pero muy cómoda. Tiene cabañas simples, piscina, e incluso pista de tenis. A 20 minutos andando de Baiona, está bien recomendado. --- Low cost option, a 20 minute walk from Baiona. Has nice, simple cabins and all the amenities of a youth hostel, including a pool. Great reviews.

Opción mochilera pero muy cómoda. Tiene cabañas simples, piscina, e incluso pista de tenis. A 300m de Playa América, está bien recomendado. --- Low cost option, 300m from Playa América. Has nice, simple cabins and all the amenities of a youth hostel, including a pool. Great reviews.

Flight

En Avión

Hay vuelos directos al Aeropuerto de Vigo "El Peinador" (VGO) desde Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Ibiza, Dublin, Milán, Edimburgo, París, Londres y Lisboa. El aeropuerto está a 20 minutos del centro de Vigo y a 30-40 minutos de la zona donde será la boda (Baiona). Lo más seguro es que la mayoría de los invitados se queden en esta zona, no en la ciudad. Podéis coger un taxi por unos 30-40€. También hay autobuses a la ciudad de Vigo por menos de 2€ (línea de autobús L9A) y desde allí se puede coger un autobús a la zona de la boda. Un consejo: Se pierde mucho tiempo moviéndose en autobús en cualquier lugar fuera de la propia ciudad de Vigo. Alquilar un coche es una buena opción, especialmente si deseáis hacer turismo en la zona. Se pueden encontrar la mayoría de las principales marcas en el aeropuerto.

You can find direct flights to Vigo's Airport, El Peinador (VGO) from Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, Ibiza, Dublin, Milan, Edinburgh, Paris, London and Lisbon. The airport is located 20 minutes from Vigo's city center and 30-40 minutes from the area where the wedding will take place and where we anticipate most of the guests will stay. You can take a taxi for about 30-40€. There are also buses to Vigo city for under 2€ (bus line L9A) and from there you can take a bus to the wedding area. Our recommendation is that you will waste a lot of time moving around by bus anywhere outside Vigo city. Car rentals are a good option, particularly if you want to do some tourism around the area. You can find most of the major brands at the airport.

En Tren

Se puede viajar a Vigo en tren desde Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago, A Coruña, Bilbao y Oporto. Si estás en Madrid, tienes dos opciones: el tren interurbano y el tren Alvia. Un billete de tren desde Madrid cuesta entre 30-60 € (6-12 horas dependiendo de las conexiones). Vigo tiene dos estaciones de tren: URZÁIZ, donde llega/sale el AVE (tren de alta velocidad de España) y GUIXAR, ambas en pleno centro de la ciudad. Desde las estaciones de tren podéis coger un taxi por unos 20-30€ (30 minutos) hasta el área donde se llevará a cabo la boda y donde anticipamos que la mayoría de los invitados se quedarán.

You can travel to Vigo by train from Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago, A Coruña, Bilbao and Porto. If you’re in Madrid, you have three options: the Intercity train, the Alvia train and the Hotel Train. A train ticket from Madrid is between 30-60€ (6-12 hours depending on connections). Vigo has two railway stations: URZÁIZ where the AVE arrives/departs (Spain’s high-speed train), and GUIXAR, both of them right in the city centre. You can take a taxi for about 20-30€ (30 minutes) to the area where the wedding will take place and where we anticipate most of the guests will stay.

Llegar a Vigo en autobús también es una posibilidad. Hay líneas directas de autobús a Vigo desde Madrid (8 horas), Barcelona (15 horas) y la mayoría de las ciudades de España. Una tarifa promedio de autobús desde Madrid es de alrededor de 30€. Además, hay líneas internacionales de autobuses que te llevarán a Vigo desde Portugal, Francia y la mayoría de los países de Europa occidental. Recomendamos mirar Flixbus y Alsa. Los buses llegan a la Estación de Autobuses de Vigo. Desde ahí podéis coger un taxi por unos 20-30€ (30 minutos) hasta el área donde se llevará a cabo la boda y donde anticipamos que la mayoría de los invitados se quedarán.

Getting to Vigo by bus is also a possibility. There are direct bus lines to Vigo from Madrid (8 hours), Barcelona (15 hours) and most cities in Spain. Furthermore, there are international bus lines that will take you to Vigo from Portugal, France, and most western European countries. An average bus fare from Madrid is around 30€. We recommend checking out Flixbus or Alsa. The buses arrive at the Estación de Autobuses de Vigo. From there, you can take a taxi for about 20-30€ (30 minutes) to the area where the wedding will take place and where we anticipate most of the guests will stay.

Una gran forma de viajar a Vigo es en coche. Las buenas autopistas del país hacen que sea fácil llegar a Vigo por carretera desde Madrid (6 horas), Santiago (1,5 horas), A Coruña (2 horas) y Oporto (1,5 horas). Además de poder alquilar coches de todas las principales marcas en cualquier ciudad de España, también existe un excelente servicio de carsharing (www.blablacar.es). Es un mercado online para el uso compartido (carpooling/carsharing) de coches. Su sitio web y aplicaciones móviles conectan a los conductores y pasajeros dispuestos a viajar juntos entre ciudades y compartir el costo del viaje. Es seguro y utilizado por españoles y turistas por igual. El costo promedio para viajar desde Madrid es de alrededor de 30 €.

A great way of traveling to Vigo is by car. The city’s good connections make it easy to get to Vigo on the highway from Madrid (6 hours), Santiago (1.5 hours), A Coruña (2 hours) and Porto (1.5 hours). In addition to being able to rent a car from all the main brands in any city in Spain, there is a great carpooling/carsharing system in Spain called Blablacar (www.blablacar.es). It is an online marketplace for carpooling. Its website and mobile apps connect drivers and passengers willing to travel together between cities and share the cost of the journey. It is safe and used by spaniards and tourists alike. An average price to travel from Madrid is around 30€.

Sí, caminando. Si no has oído hablar del Camino de Santiago, haz una búsqueda rápida en google. Una red de antiguos senderos para peregrinos que llevan a Santiago de Compostela, algunos de los cuales se originan en los rincones más distantes de España, e incluso en otros países europeos. Si te interesa hacer el Camino, aunque sea una distancia corta, avísanos y podemos ponerte en contacto con otros huéspedes que quieran hacer lo mismo.

Walking...Wait, What?

Yes, walking. If you haven't heard of the Camino de Santiago, do a quick search on google. A network of ancient pilgrim hiking trails leading to Santiago de Compostela, some of which originate in the most distant corners of Spain, and even in other European countries. If you are interested in doing the Camino, even for a short distance, let us know and we can put you in contact with other guests who might want to do the same.

En Barco

El puerto de Vigo recibe a miles de visitantes de más de 100 cruceros transatlánticos cada año. El Queen Mary 2, el Independence of the Seas o el Queen Victoria son algunos de los cruceros que paran en Vigo en sus viajes. Si eres un fanático de la vela, ¡Vigo es tu destino! Se puede llegar navegando y atracar en uno de los cuatro puertos deportivos de la ciudad o alquilar un barco, navegar a lo largo de la Ría de Vigo y pasar el día haciendo turismo por sus hermosas playas y hasta en el famoso paraíso de las Islas Cíes.

The Port of Vigo’s cruise pier welcomes thousands of visitors from more than 100 transatlantic cruise ships. The Queen Mary 2, the Independence of the Seas or the Queen Victoria are some of the cruise ships stopping in Vigo on their voyages. If you are a fan of sailing, Vigo is the destination for you! You can either arrive sailing and dock in one of the four marinas in town or rent a ship, sail along the Vigo Estuary and spend the day sightseeing.
