Traveling from the U.S.

For those traveling from the U.S., you will need a U.S. Passport (or green card or U.S. Passport Card) to cross at the San Ysidrio—Tijuana border. // Para aquellos que viajan desde los EE. UU., necesitarán un pasaporte de EE. UU. (o tarjeta verde o tarjeta de pasaporte de EE. UU.) para cruzar en la frontera entre San Ysidro y Tijuana. A note on driving: The highways from the U.S./Mex border to Valle de Guadalupe are well-maintained and straightforward to navigate for those who haven't driven in Mexico before. *Please note* there are toll roads on the route from the border crossing to Valle, you will need a few dollar bills or pesos for the drive ($10 U.S.D. or $200 MXN). You may also want to consider adding an international data plan to your phone for navigation. For those traveling from the U.S. from outside of California: we recommend flying to San Diego and renting a car to drive from there to Valle (approx. a 2 hr drive).
