Although we get in occasional cat fights (as most sisters do), we nonetheless will always go to each other for advice and for the latest hot gossip. Growing up we promised to be each other’s maid of honor . . . and now it’s happening in the same year!

Frank met Lance on the basketball court in elementary school, and they have been friends ever since. From Sun God festivals to Coachellas, and from the craps table at Barona to their numerous Vegas trips, they have had many life experiences and adventures together. The sassy college best friend who many thought I was dating when we pledged Alpha Phi Omega together in 2005. Clearly people were wrong. Rather Myron is my fellow big girl and travel partner in crime (we have eaten our way through Hawaii, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, and Kansas City just to name a few). Myron will never turn down the opportunity to eat, drink vodka sodas, dance, girl talk, or pose for a (sometimes dirty) picture.

Frank and Matt became friends during their senior year in high school, and they have been inseparable ever since. While many people have different ways of expressing their friendships, Matt and Frank express theirs by sending daily memes to each other on Instagram. You can catch them debating hypothetical NBA match ups and laughing over funny memes. Ask Matt about Frank's favorite drink from Walmart. Oh and ask Matt if he's in the market for a hedgehog.

The childhood friend who brightens any room with her pale legs and high-pitched voice. We've known each other since Kindergarten when I didn't talk (now I won't shut up) and when we had many sleepovers with corned beef hash for breakfast. We grew up doing all the typical Japanese American activities together (basketball, baseball, Girl Scouts, taiko, choir, etc.) and made fun of each other along the way.

From the playground at Stowers to the playground at PB Bar and Grill, Janak and Frank have been friends for over 20 years. While roommates at UC San Diego, Janak introduced Frank to Silversun Pickups. You can catch Janak and Frank at the next SSPU concert. Ask Janak about the time Frank drove over 90mph on surface streets in San Diego during finals week.

The high school bestie who shared a love for Kobe (we went to our first Lakers game together but he didn't even play!) and prawns with lobster sauce. Vera drove us around in her minivan in high school, and one night we did donuts on the rooftop parking lot of the Great Mall and got caught by security. Vera recently gave me the honor of being one of the godmothers to her beautiful daughter, Grace.

The high school bestie whose last name reflects her personality (just kidding!). It all started with our excitement for one particular school lunch - Spaghetti Wednesdays (we would run to get in line). Now our friendship has evolved to Girls’ trips/nights which always involve yummy food, drinks (one and she's done), games, and of course our first loves, the Backstreet Boys. Sarah is the Beyoncé of hula, a certified massage therapist, and the prettiest princess I know . . . guys, she’s a catch!

After moving to California, Brian's and Frank's adventures include 5 trips to Vegas, 3 trips Coachella, 2 trips to Napa, and 1 blurry night in the Marina District of San Francisco.
