Flight

Tampa - TPA

You can fly into the Tampa airport, which is the biggest one nearby. It is usually the cheaper airport to fly into in the area and has the most flights. If you are staying in St. Petersburg (close to the wedding venue), the Uber/Lyft ride will cost around $30-$40 from the airport. You can also use Super Shuttle and book a shared shuttle ride online directly to and from the airport. This will cost you around $30.

Flight

St. Petersburg/ Clearwater - PIE

This airport will be very close and convenient for those who are staying in St. Petersburg (near the venue). This airport is quite small, and can have limited flights going in and out. Because it is so small, it also tends to be a bit more expensive to fly in and out of this airport. You can also take an Uber/Lyft from this airport as well for about $15-$20.

Postcard Inn On The Beach

This is a great venue to choose if you want to be right near the beach vibes! These rooms are simple but are on the beach and have quite a bit of fun accompanying the area. This is one of our favorite places but there are plenty of places to stay around here. Anywhere near Treasure Island or St. Pete Beach is close to the sun, sand, and waves.

The Cordova Inn

This is a cute little Inn to stay at which is more in the hustle and bustle of downtown! It is located right by some great historic sites, and all the local breweries. This place is not very big but it always has great reviews. From here, you can take an Uber/Lyft about 15 minutes to the beach-side.

Travel Note

Getting Around

Uber and Lyft are both extremely prevalent in Tampa and St. Petersburg. Just download the app and you will have no problem getting from one area to another. However, if you are staying in St. Petersburg on the beach, chances are you will not need anything but your feet to travel. If you choose to rent a car, you can do so from the airport. Parking in Downtown St. Petersburg and the day-of venue may be a bit tight, so just keep that in mind.

Weather

August is one of the hotter months in Florida, running anywhere between 75 and 90 degrees F. It rains when it feels like it, and then will be bright and sunny the rest of the day. Bring a rain coat, umbrella, bathing suit, and sandals to be prepared.
