This place is a Magaña favorite... they have mac and cheese stuffed meatloaf, and a cheeseburger where the bun is made out of fried mac and cheese... need I say more. It also has a pretty killer donut shop and bakery attached to it. Awesome beer selection. Buffalo cauliflower are a must... man I'm hungry now.
The Dalí Museum
A world class museum named after the mad master himself. Full blown museum experience if culture is your sort of thing.
Straz Center
Tampa's premiere theater venue for all broadway shows and classical music acts that come to town, as well as some other off the radar concerts from time to time.
Bodega on Central
You can't come to Florida and not eat a cuban sandwich, and you won't find a better one than at Bodega. Heads up, not a lot of seating, but there are numerous little breweries within walking distance, so consider ordering to go and making it a mobile meal!
Green Bench Brewing Company
This brewery is located smack dab in the middle of downtown St. Pete. My favs here, are the Postcard Pils which is fresh yet flavorful and the Saison if it's on tap. But you can't go wrong, this place is awesome.
Hidden Springs Ale Works
I'm lucky that this little brewery is located just down the road from my house. They specialize in strong and potent IPA's and daring sours. If beer is your thing, then this place is a must.
Cage Brewing
This mainly outdoor brewery can be hot in the summer, but it's worth checking out for it's quirky beer and atmosphere... also did I mention they have NFL Blitz and Ninja Gaiden arcade machines for free?
Jimmy B's Beach Bar
If you're looking for a laid back beach bar to bum around at that also has good food. This is your spot. Located on the beach with a water view, this is a favorite local spot with access to the famous white Florida sand.
Museum Of Science & Industry
Fun for the whole family. MOSI is a local gem. Ask any Tampa native and they have fond childhood memories of this place.
The Florida Aquarium
Have you ever wanted to pet a stingray? Do you like the ocean but want to learn about it inside in the air conditioning? Then this place is for you!

Armature Works
A communal gathering place for food and drinks. Armature works is situation like a gigantic indoor hipster food court, and it works. Try the vegan soul food at Dixie Dharma or the cuban sandwich at Hemingways!
Ybor Square
This vibrant area is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Tampa and it's diversity reflects that. There is a lot to do down here, you can take in a comedy show at the Tampa Improv, watch people hand roll cigars in any number of the cigar shops, or eat at the oldest restaurant in the city, The Columbia. When your down there take notice of the wild chickens running everywhere, they are a fun Tampa treasure that is only found in Ybor!
Tampa Theatre
This single screen arthouse theater is home to special screenings of beloved films and concerts. It is also an event space that has something cool going on pretty much all of the time.
CW's Gin Joint
An old school speak easy style of place. CW's Gin Joint is pretty much the fanciest bar in town. They don't have a dress code, but if you want to blend, dress to impress, especially on the weekends. Also to prevent having to wait at the door, call ahead and make a reservation. All of that being said, the staff is super friendly unpretentious for the most part. If you want something upperclass, this is your spot.
Sweet Soul SoHo
Plant based deserts that taste as good as the real deal whether it be non-dairy soft serve or acai, you can't go wrong here. This place is the grooms fav desert spot!
Mr Penguin
One of the first places we discovered upon our return to the states. Mr. Penguin is delicious Italian ice and soft serve layered together. When someone comes and visits for the first time, we take them here almost immediately. Bebe recommends the complementary peanut butter pup-cups for dogs!
