Ilia and Steve's Bridal Party and their small bio's

Amanda Roosa

Maid of Honor

Ilia and I have been best friends since meeting on campus at LHU my freshman year. I was immediately drawn to her positive energy and typically could be found causing trouble along side of Ilia whether it was on or off the softball field. I was lucky enough to get out to the Rockies where I then met Steve and got to see how well the two of them compliment each other. Ilia had never looked more beautiful than when she stood in the eyes of Steve. I love how happy he makes her and can see the bond the two of them have. I am honored to be standing next to Steve and Ilia as they take this next step in their lives!

Jenna Dellert

Maid of Honor

Ilia and I first met through Steve when we worked together at the Viceroy. The first time that Steve talked about Ilia, I could feel how much she meant to him and then I saw them together I knew they were meant to be. They can laugh at each other, they enjoy every minute spent together and support each other every step of the way. After a couple times of hanging out with Ilia, we quickly became inseparable because we share a love for camping, hiking crazy mountains, binge watching movies, and a good game night with our closest friends. Ilia is one of the most loyal and honest people I know with an infectious personality that just makes you want to be all that in return. I cant wait to be by her side as she marries the love of her life and to adventures together for the rest of our lives.

Bridesmaid

Ilia and I met back in 2005 when I was a freshmen in college at LHU. We were teammates on the softball team and became sisters for life. Ilia and I both had a lot of things in common when it came to softball (our positions, we could play anywhere when asked), our love for basketball (she was a dual athlete in college, I cheered from the sidelines!) and we both lived a very independent life and possessed a strong work ethic. Ilia introduced me to Steve on one of her trips home to PA and immediately I knew he was the perfect match for her. I could just tell that Ilia was going to be in good hands, someone always needs to be the calm around this wild one! I am so honored to be apart of Steve and Ilia's big day and wish them all the love and happiness in their future together.

Bridesmaid

What can I say, my little sister is one of the funniest people you will ever meet. Especially when her and my brother David get together. Growing up we used to fight so much we drove my mother crazy, but I'm glad that as we got older we got over our differences. Ilia is the first in our family to graduate from college and I could not be prouder of the woman she has become. I remember the first time Ilia introduced me to Steve, I thought he was nice, respectful, quiet guy. On the several occasions that we have hung out, Steve has always been so kind and friendly. I can tell by the way Ilia and Steve interact, that they make a great couple. I'm just so excited to be a part of this union and to stand right beside my sister as she takes a step towards the next chapter in her life with Steve.

Bridesmaid

Ilia and I met through my husband Jeff about 7 years ago. Since then, we have shared so many life and mountain adventures together! From hut trips, bonfires and dancing in the snow, to camping, climbing and road trips! She has always been fun, full of energy, open and honest friend! I have enjoyed watching her grow and glow since she has met Steve. He has shown time and again, his love and support for her. I am so excited to celebrate their love and first steps into their next chapter together as husband and wife.

Bridesmaid

Ilia and I became friends in 2005, which feels like a lifetime ago! We met at Lock Haven University where we played softball together. Softball had made us teammates but Ilia’s fun, adventurous, loyal and genuine spirit is what makes her a true friend that I am extremely grateful to have. In the past 15 years there have been years where we have spent everyday together and others spent 2000 miles apart, but regardless the situation we have kept our special bond. Ilia has been an important part of my support system and I am honored to be part of her support as she marries the love of her life.

Bridesmaid

Ilia and I met through mutual friends in Snowmass, Colorado. One of the first stories she told me was how she told Steve within the first month they met that she loved him, I honestly thought she was crazy until I saw how the two of them interact, respect and admire each other. Ilia and I's friendship deepened after we bonded over our love for the outdoors. We have spent hours together hiking Colorado's tallest mountains and even trekking three weeks across Nepal to Everest Base Camp; laughing and deepening our friendship with each step. I am so honored and excited to be a part of Ilia's and Steve's next chapter of their lives!

Eric Odenthal

Best Man

Being Steve's older brother, I've known him my entire life. Our relationship has grown from squabbling siblings, to friends, to roommates and drinking buddies, to him being my best man at my wedding, and now to me having the same honor at his. While this would really surprise my 15 year old self, I can easily say that Steve is one of my best and closest friends. we may not see each other as much as either of us would like, but I know that he is just a call away for everything from life updates, or more likely than not talking fantasy football and the current state of the penguins. I am so grateful for what our relationship has turned into. I'm happier than ever for my little brother; Ilia is an amazing woman, and I'm looking forward to officially calling her my sister. I love you both

I met Steve about seven years ago, when we started working together at Stonebridge Inn in Snowmass. We soon realized that we were neighbors in the same building and began hanging out quite a bit. Over the last seven years we've had a lot of good times, laughs, and adventures together, including Havasupai, Indonesia, Belize and Mexico. I can't wait to stand by Steve's side as he enters this lifelong union with someone who makes him very happy.

Chris Burdick

Groomsman

Chris and Steve's paths crossed the summer of 2012. As proud colleagues of Stonebridge Inn, it was only a matter of time until these kindred spirits banded together in friendship. The relationship moved quickly and the two soon found themselves residing together for the winter. During these young days, Steve and Chris lived a life full of athletic endeavors, all while providing world class hospitality to the visitors of Snowmass. Over the years, Steve and Chris continued to share love for sports. Both Chris and Steve were also avid basketball enthusiasts and developed a chemistry on the court, which was fear and respected throughout the RFV. Although years have passed, and the distance apart has increased, the two friends remain close, enjoying every opportunity they get to spend together

Groomsman

Steve and I met briefly sometime 2013-2014. Things get a bit hazy in Colorado so hard to put an exact date on it. We eventually ended up as coworkers at the Viceroy Hotel and were apart of the best damn concierge team that the world has ever seen. Since then we have hit numerous music festivals, camping trips, and spent countless hours arguing over our favorite sport teams. Until I met Steve, I didn't think there was anyone more passionate about their sports teams as myself. I was wrong. I was WAY wrong. I will never forget those first few weeks that Steve met Ilia, as I noticed his passion for sports was transitioning over to her..most of the time at least. I could not be happier to be apart of their big day and excited to see what is yet to come for these two!

Congratulations to you and Steve. I could not be more proud of you both. You have grown to become a strong woman and from the moment I met Steve I knew immediately that he was perfect for you. You both have grown throughout the years and have stuck together through the good and bad times. It makes me happy to see the way Steve treats you. You both are always smiling and laughing together and that is what I believe life is all about! There will be moments that will test your love and patience but I have known you all my life little sister and from the time that I've spent with Steve as well I know that you both will do great things together. I love you both and cannot wait to have a Brother-In-Law.

Groomsman

I don't remember when Steve and I met, but I sure do remember all the good times since! From sending it in the winter on the mountain to backpacking in the desert in the summer. I remember taking Steve, Ilia, Jenna and Ewan rock climbing. I was teaching Steve how to belay Ewan, he seemed to have a good hang of things. I turn around to talk to Ilia when all of a sudden I hear a big thud. I look behind me and Ewan is now on the ground. Apparently Steve's hands got hot and let go of the rope. I did a bad job teaching, Steve did a bad job belaying, and unfortunately for Ewan, gravity is still undefeated, we all got a good laugh out of the situation. That is just one of many examples of good times I've had with Steve and Ilia. I've got lots of love for them and excited for their future together
