Why are you having the wedding ceremony out in Oregon?

Answer

Katie has always dreamed of getting married out in the woods amongst the beautiful trees in Oregon. After she shared this vision with Edgar, he did not hesitate to make that dream come true. Since the woods venue in Oregon is limited to a small amount of people, Katie and Edgar are hosting a wedding reception a month later to celebrate with everyone in NYC.

The reception is located at Vista Penthouse Ballroom located at 27-05 39th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101.

The reception is from 6-11PM.

When and where should I book my hotel?

Answer

You can book as early as today with our hotel block and discount code. Please see the "Travel" tab to access link. Vista Penthouse is a hotel, rooftop bar, and ballroom all in one.

If I drive, where can I park my car?

Answer

Hotel has limited indoor garage parking offered at $30 a night (plus tax) on a first come first serve basis. Additional public parking can be found on the streets or parking garages nearby.

What can I expect at the reception?

Answer

Rooftop cocktail hour overlooking the Manhattan skyline at sunset. Followed by dinner, cake, open bar, and lots of dancing!

Is there a wedding party?

Answer

No, between all our siblings, cousins, and closest friends, we could not choose and did not want to choose who would be in our wedding party at both locations. So instead, we wanted to invite everyone that we cherish to celebrate in one place at one time whether that is in Oregon or NYC.

Are children welcome?

While we love children, we have decided to not allow children due to the limited space and guest count at this venue.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the limited space and guest count at this venue, we have decided to only invite the plus ones that are listed on the invitation. Formal invitations will be sent out at a later time.

Will there be accommodations for people that have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes. The dinner will be a buffet. One of our main reasons for choosing a buffet over a plated dinner is to give those who are vegetarian, gluten free, or vegan, more options to choose from. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will try to accommodate as best we can.
