In the Fall of 2020, during a time when the world felt uncertain, Katie and Edgar were out of jobs and applied to Whole Foods as instant shoppers. Without knowing it—thanks to Edgar's brother Christian and Katie's best friend James—they ended up at the same store and met in the frozen section. What started out as casual greeting soon turned into daily laughter, shared glances, and conversations that made even the longest shifts feel short. Through crazy and unpredictable days, Katie and Edgar became each other’s calm amidst the chaos. Over time, they began to realize that what connected them was more than just work—it was the beginning of something deeper. Then, one day, Edgar left Whole Foods without a word, and Katie felt his absence. Unsure if she’d ever see him again, she sent him a goodbye message and wished him well. The next day, Edgar asked Katie out and from there, the rest was history. What was once the 'the worst job of their lives' became the best thing that ever happened to them. They still laugh when people ask if they met reaching for the same apple—because the truth is even better. It was over laughter in grocery aisles, quiet moments in between shifts, and the kind of connection that only grows stronger with time. Five years later, Katie and Edgar have built a home together in Queens with their black cat, Kage. As they look toward the future, Katie and Edgar are ready to begin their next chapter—proving that sometimes, love finds you in the most unexpected places such as an ordinary aisle, in an ordinary store, only to have an ordinary ‘hello’ turn into a ‘happily ever after.’
