5 Points is a cool district in Columbia with tons of restaurants, coffeeshop, vintage shops and other boutiques!
From there you can also easily get to Divine Street, where you can find even more restaurants, bars, etc!

A great city to explore if you're planning on staying in SC all of Labor Day weekend.
Charleston has nice beaches, a shorewalk, great food, a rich (if also very dark) history, markets and a great nightlife!

Myrtle Beach is a very well known and popular beach - If Myrtle Beach is too crowded for your liking, they have smaller beaches north and south of there as well.

Another great destination of you are staying an extra day or 2. Savannah is about a 3-4 hour drive from Columbia, but so worth it! It has a lot of history, nearby beaches, pretty architecture and so much more.
