FAQs

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us!
Question

Do I get a Plus-One?

Answer

If a plus one has been given to you, it will say so on the invitation.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP thorugh the QR Code on the invitation or here on the website by June 15th!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Our Wedding Reception will be a child-free event where we ask all attendees to be 18 or older - take this opportunity to let your hair down and party with us!

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Kinda! Our awesome venue Savage Craft Ale Works is a brewery here in Columbia - all of their beers on tap, our selection of red and white wine, alcohol free beer, soft drinks and our 2 signature cocktails will be on us! If you see anything behind the bar that you would like to try that is not on that list, then that will have to be on you - cheers!

Question

What's the Dresscode?

Answer

We're hoping you will adhere to our cocktail-attire-dress code - What does that mean? No long dresses, no stuffy tuxedos. But midi-dresses, skirts, slacks and button-down shirts are all great choices! Keep it simple or sparkly, that's up to you! If you need inspiration, Pinterest can always help ;) Please refrain from wearing jeans, shorts, t-shirts and anything too casual.

Question

Will this be a traditional wedding?

Answer

As you know, we've already been married for over a year now. So there will be no walking down any aisles, officiants, exchanging of rings, etc. But we are doing the "traditional" part after that: The reception! So there will be speeches, toasts, photos, dinner, drinks and dancing! We have hired a photographer and will be sharing the photos with you after the wedding

Question

Why is there no gift registry?

Answer

The fact that you made your way here to Columbia to celebrate with us is gift enough ♥ And to be honest, we have everything we need at the moment. But if you are feeling extra generous and would like to contribute to our honeymoon we haven't been able to go on yet, we would greatly appreciate it.

Question

Which hotels should we consider staying at?

Answer

If proximity to the venue is important to you, we would recommend you consider hotels that are downtown - this way you are only a short Uber ride away from the venue (10-15mins tops) and you can explore downtown Columbia by foot - it’s very walkable! If you don’t mind a longer ride to and from the reception and would like a more affordable place to stay, then consider places in and around West Columbia, Garners Ferry, or Cayce. Two Notch Road in NE Columbia is a little sketchy, so we wouldn’t recommend that area! If you know other guests, you can also consider staying as a group at an AirBnB! Here are some hotels that are downtown: Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia Downtown Spring Hill Suites Columbia Marriott Columbia Downtown Aloft Columbia Downtown Hotel Trundle Holiday Inn Express &Suites Columbia Downtown Hilton Columbia Center Moxy Columbia Downtown Sheraton Columbia Downtown Holiday Inn Columbia Cambria Hotel Columbia Hilton Garden Inn Columbia Downtown

Question

One last request from us...

Answer

We're hereby asking you to not bring up and discuss any polarizing topics at our wedding: Politics, Religion and Social issues. There will be many different people there, from different countries, with different political, social and religious views as well as sexual orientations. There is a time and a place to discuss these things, but August 30th is not that time and Savage Craft Ale Works is not that place. If you notice any guests starting shit, please remind them of that. If they don't stop we will kick them out. >> See something, say something. <<
