What do I need to get done before going to Nigeria?

Answer

Nigerian Passport Holders: If your Nigerian passport has expired or is expiring soon, it’s best to renew it before you travel. Renewal can be done through the Nigerian High Commission in your country, appointments often book up quickly, so start early. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel. Non-Nigerian Passport Holders / Dual Nationals: If you don’t have a Nigerian passport (or don’t plan to renew an old one), you can request a Visa on Arrival (VOA). Apply online before you travel. Once processed, you’ll receive an approval letter via email. Print the approval letter, you will need to show it at immigration when you land. When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can so we have an accurate headcount for the venue and catering. Ideally by the 28th of February. If we haven't received your RSVP by the specified date, we will assume you're not coming and will mark you down as 'not attending'.

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

Due to limited space and our desire to keep the celebrations intimate, we’re only able to accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you have a +1 included, their name will be clearly stated on your invitation. Thank you so much for understanding and respecting this.

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying near the venue in Ikeja for convenience and ease of travel. Our top pick is Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, where we will be staying. We have also listed other hotel options and a trusted short-let provider on our “Travel and Accommodation” page. If you would like to stay in the same hotel as us, let us (bride or groom) know and we may be able to get you a discount.

Do I need an invitation card or QR code to enter?

Answer

Yes a QR code is needed. This unique code will be sent to you ahead of the event and must be shown at the entrance for verification. Please keep it easily accessible on your phone when you arrive.
