The Wedding Website of Anna Iglesias and James Mautz
After much research and deliberation, we have selected our venue because it is a beautiful location and resort that will allow us to all be together for our wedding weekend. This is one of our favorite sides of the island - you can check out 'Things to Do' for some of our recommendations for things to do and other parts of PR to explore. While the surrounding area is lovely, we would encourage all guests to stay at the hotel. We strongly advise against trying to find an Airbnb or looking into other hotels in this area. The roads are not well suited to driving at night and we want to ensure the safety of our guests, especially after the reception. Thank you for your understanding.

Hotel

Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa

PR-333
Guanica, Guánica 00653, Puerto Rico
 7878210505

This is where we will be staying for the duration of the wedding weekend - all of the events unless otherwise indicated will be held here. Please call Copamarina at 787-821-0505, extensions 725, 726, or 727. You can also email them at reservations@copamarina.com Remember to mention Anna Iglesias and James Mautz wedding in order to get the discounted rate. The discounted room rate is applicable for up to 3 days pre and post the wedding on March 2nd.

Flight

Flight Options

There are three main airports on the island. We have ranked them in order of proximity to the venue, not by size or frequency of flights. Please note that all of these times do not include traffic. However, where you choose to fly into may depend on how long you plan to stay in Puerto Rico. 1) Ponce Airport, (Mercedita International Airport (PSE)). Approximately 43 minutes to hotel. 2) Aguadilla Airport, (Rafael Hernandez Airport (BQN)). Approximately 1.5 hours to hotel. 3) San Juan Airport, (Luiz Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU)) Approximately 2 hours to hotel.

Travel Note

Airport Shuttle Option

We have recently learned that Green Transportation Puerto Rico is a great way to travel to and from any of the airports on the island. If you require assistance, the hotel is able to assist in arranging a shuttle for you from the San Juan airport to the hotel, or a cab from Ponce. Please call to ask.

Rental Car

Rental Car Options

All of these airports have rental car options, but we definitely encourage you to consider utilizing the shuttle service. Once you are at the resort there is not really a reason to leave and once you exit the highway, the road to the resort is really narrow and would be dangerous at night.

Travel Note

Some travel thoughts

From JFK and DC, its about a 4 hour direct flight… plus 2 hours driving from San Juan. International/PA people: We would recommend you look into flying to Puerto Rico out of JFK. San Juan or Ponce both have lots of direct routes that go on sale frequently. If you are only coming for the weekend, we would encourage you to consider flying into Ponce, as there are direct routes from JFK, and that will cut down on your travel time overall.

Travel Note
