to forever and ever...

Emily and Colby met in high school through mutual friends. They became friends and would occasionally talk at school. It wasn't until after Emily graduated from high school that they became closer and took a liking to one another. Once their first date at Waffle House was over, it was history from there... Nearly six years later, they are happier than ever and GETTING MARRIED! Their love grows stronger each day and they look forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

On the evening of February 24, 2022, Emily came home to Baton Rouge from a long work week in New Orleans. Colby had mentioned earlier in the day that he was craving Waffle House, so this would be where they were going to dinner. Upon arriving, they sat in their regular booth by the front window where they had their first date. After devouring the food, they began to leave... Emily, confused and caught off guard, turned around when Colby proceeded to get down on one knee. The only two things that came to Emily's mind to say when he asked was 1.) You asked my parents right? and 2.) YES!!! It was such a special moment for the two of them and felt like they were falling in love all over again.
