Getsemani
Getsemani is a vibrant neighborhood in Cartagena. It's known for its colorful street art, lively atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage. Getsemani has a bohemian vibe, with many cafes, bars, and restaurants offering a taste of local cuisine and culture.
Castle San Felipe De Barajas
Fortress castle built by the Spanish colonies. Here you can explore the castle's tunnels, fort walls, and battlements.
Islas Del Rosario
27 islands just off the coast of the city filled with coral reefs where you can spend a day boating, swimming, and snorkeling. There are also islands known for their festive and party atmosphere, like Bora Bora Beach Club.
Baru
Here you can find white sand and the clearest waters of Cartagena. You can arrive by boat or car. You can book a day trip through your hotel or the web.
Centro de Cartagena
Explore the Center of Cartagena. This is the area where the reception and wedding will take place. Here you can walk around or rent horse-drawn carriages around the town. You can also check out the Torre del Reloj, Plaza Aduana, Plaza Santo Domingo, and Plaza Bolivar filled with dancers and performers.
El Totumo (Mud Volcano)
Small volcano in which you can bathe in and get a massage in thick bubbling mud known for its therapeutic properties. After your mud bath there are local women that will scrub you down in the lake. Just remember to tip!
Convent of Santa Cruz de la Popa
Highest point in the city. Here you will find the best views of Cartagena and you can enter a chapel filled with roses.
Las Bóvedas
Little shops built into the walls of the city. Here you can find everything touristy, from cheap trinkets to clothing, and original handmade artwork pieces.
Museo De La Esmeralda Colombiana
Colombia is known for its emeralds! This is a museum dedicated to the precious gems. Entrance to the museum is free. At the end of the museum you can find a jewelry store that specializes in emeralds.
