I know we're both big nerds! But, neither of us have ever seen Star Wars, so no. May 4th, 2026 will be our 10 year dating anniversary. What better way to celebrate the milestone than with a wedding!
Grey Forest (where the venue is) is a small town. Every time we've gone, the sheriff has been sitting on the main road so be careful NOT to speed! We will not be responsible for tickets (or bail money) that might be given if caught. We'll be sure to send you pics tho!
A garden party dress code is cocktail attire, or a semi-formal option that's comfortable and practical for outdoor events. We kindly ask that you do not come in jeans. Key elements of a garden party dress code: Dressy Casual to Semi-formal: - Light, breathable fabrics like linen, cotton, and silk in light colors and floral patterns. - Comfortable and practical: - Consider the weather and the terrain (grass, patios) when choosing footwear. - Colors and patterns: - Soft, romantic hues like blush, lavender, sage green, and powder blue are popular, but bright colors and floral prints can also work. Shoes: - Wedges, sandals, or flats are suitable choices, especially since the ceremony is outdoors. Examples of what to wear: Women: - Midi or maxi dresses in light colors and floral prints, or a tailored pantsuit in a pastel color. Men: - Suits or a blazer and chinos in light colors or patterned fabrics, paired with a breathable dress shirt. Not Permitted: - Jeans, athletic apparel, and tennis shoes. - Stiletto heels, while permitted, may not be practical on grass.
As much as we would love to have everyone in the world attend, invitations are for those listed on the invite only.
We will have an open bar for soda, beer, & well spirits. A tip jar will also be out, so having some cash on hand is encouraged for any exceptional service provided.
Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only celebration. We are unable to offer any childcare assistance or suggestions - for the simple facts that 1) we don't have kids & wouldn't presume to suggest what you should do with yours & 2) pretty much anyone we would trust to watch our own kids...is also going to be at the wedding.
The ceremony will be held outdoors. The reception will be held indoors but will have some space available outside.
We have partnered with the wonderful team at Limelight to capture all of the best moments of the day. In order to help them get the best shots, we will have a "Paparazzi Minute" at the start of the ceremony so that everyone can get a picture! After that, we respectfully ask that all phones are put away. "Failure to comply may result in phones being tossed into the water behind the alter" - Iban
