Yes, it's where we are getting married. It is also a massive and beautiful park. Without a doubt the prettiest place in Mannheim.

Freiburg has the best farmer's market I've ever been to. 
It is also on the edge of the Black Forest if you want to do some hiking. 
2 hours by train.

Speyer has a family theme park (Holiday Park), aquarium, and technical museum. A good day trip for families.
