Ben Thanh Market
Ben Thanh Market is the bustling heart of Ho Chi Minh City's shopping scene. This iconic market offers everything from local handicrafts and souvenirs to clothing, accessories, and fresh produce. Bargaining is a must here, I would recommend going to see selling stalls in Vietnam but purchase food and souvenirs elsewhere! (Everything in the general vicinity is also marked up.)
Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon
The Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon is a stunning example of French colonial architecture in the heart of bustling Ho Chi Minh City. Originally completed in 1880, the cathedral is still an active place of worship and a popular spot for visitors to admire its beauty and historical significance. While the interior is closed to the public until renovations are completed, the exterior is a worthwhile visit.
Van Hanh Mall
I would recommend going to a mall like this one or Saigon Centre, Aeon Mall to explore all the food options and clothing options in Vietnam. Supermarket like Co.op Mart, Satra Mart, Lotte Mart are a great place to find local snacks, sauces, ramen, and so much more! Whenever I come back from Vietnam, half my suitcase comes from these shops!
The Cafe Apartments
Cafe culture is super popular in Vietnam. The Cafe Apartments are located in a busy area of town near the waterfront, would recommend getting a drink at one of the apartments and people watch. A great place to head to any time of day, but most lively at night! Have some high tea at Partea or try out one of the other great places! Google other cafes around the city and be surprised at how much variety in shops there are!
Dam Sen Theme and Water Park
Đầm Sen is a popular amusement park and cultural complex located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Cu Chi Tunnel
The Cu Chi Tunnels near Ho Chi Minh City are a remarkable testament to Vietnamese resilience and ingenuity during the Vietnam War. This intricate underground network served as a strategic base for Viet Cong soldiers, featuring living quarters, storage rooms, and even hospitals. Visitors can explore sections of the tunnels, gaining a firsthand glimpse into the harsh conditions and guerrilla warfare tactics employed during the conflict. Recommended to go into the tunnel if you are fit, since you will have to move slightly crouched, make sure to not drink any fizzy drinks prior!
Vũng Tàu
Vũng Tàu is a coastal city in southern Vietnam, great beach area, known for its scenic beauty and laid-back atmosphere. Located about 125 kilometers southeast (~2.5 hrs) of Ho Chi Minh City, it is a popular weekend getaway for locals and tourists alike. The city boasts beautiful beaches, such as Bai Sau (Back Beach) and Bai Truoc (Front Beach), offering a mix of relaxation and water sports. Vũng Tàu is also rich in history and culture, with landmarks like the giant statue of Jesus on Mount Nirvana, the Vũng Tàu Lighthouse, and the historical White Palace. Its charming blend of nature, culture, and seaside attractions makes it a captivating destination for travelers seeking both relaxation and exploration.
Ba Na Hills
Middle of Vietnam. Known for its iconic Golden Bridge, which seems to float among the clouds, Ba Na Hills offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors are enchanted by its French village-inspired architecture, complete with cobblestone streets and whimsical gardens. Whether exploring the intricate Linh Ung Pagoda or riding the world's longest cable car, Ba Na Hills promises an unforgettable journey into both nature and fantasy.
Phú Quốc
Further South from HCMC. Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island, is a tropical paradise renowned for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush jungles. Sa Pa

Hạ Long Bay
North Vietnam. Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Vietnam, is a mesmerizing seascape of emerald waters dotted with thousands of limestone islands topped with lush rainforests. Legend has it that these karst formations were created by dragons protecting the Vietnamese people, lending an aura of mythical charm to the area. Visitors can kayak through the maze of islets, swim in the azure waters, or simply relax on deck while admiring the sunset over this ethereal landscape.
Hội An
Middle of Vietnam. Hoi An, is a UNESCO World Heritage site is famed for its well-preserved architecture, melding Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese influences in its historic buildings, lantern-lit streets, and picturesque canals. Hoi An is renowned as a haven for bespoke tailoring. The town boasts a myriad of skilled tailors who craft custom-made suits, dresses, and traditional Ao Dai garments with precision and finesse. A suit can be made within a day or two, tailored to your size. Similar with dresses and any design of clothing you can think of!
Mũi Né
Mui Ne, located along Vietnam's southeastern coast, is a coastal paradise renowned for its stunning sand dunes and vibrant beach culture. This quaint fishing village turned bustling resort town offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Mui Ne is famous for its picturesque red and white sand dunes, where visitors can experience thrilling sandboarding or simply admire the surreal landscapes at sunrise or sunset.
Nha Trang
Nha Trang is a vibrant coastal city located in central Vietnam, renowned for its stunning beaches, clear blue waters, and lively atmosphere. Often referred to as the "Riviera of Vietnam," it is a popular destination for both relaxation and adventure. The city offers a blend of natural beauty, with pristine beaches like Bai Dai and Bai Xep, as well as cultural landmarks such as the historic Po Nagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda. Nha Trang also offers Vinpearl, an amusement park.
Dalat

Would recommend seeking out nearby waterfalls and exploring the art side of the city including The Maze Bar which requires a lot of walking up and down!
