The dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception is "black tie optional." So for men - suits are great, but if you have a tux collecting dust in the back of your closet feel free to dust it off! For women - long dresses are probably what most will wear, but cocktail dresses are great too. We still want you to be comfortable even with the dress code!
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! So beyond immediate family who we've already spoken with, we ask that you just bring yourselves. Thank you for respecting our wishes!
Ceremony will START at 5:30 so aim to get to lobby of the Willard BEFORE 5:15 so that you can find a seat before the doors close for the procession.
No, we will not be providing transportation. All of the wedding day events will take place at the Willard and there are several hotels within a short walking distance (check our "Travel" tab to find links to hotel blocks). We hope you stay close because the Willard is located in a great location right in the heart of DC, next to the White House. However, if you choose to stay further out, transportation around DC is super easy with the Metro and Uber or Lyft.
Please see the "Travel" page for our recommended hotels and booking blocks.
Valet parking is available at the Willard, where the ceremony and reception will take place, only for hotel guests (there is a $70 fee). If you plan to drive to the ceremony, we encourage you to park in a nearby public parking garage for a much cheaper rate. There are two garages very close by, one on the corner of Pennsylvania and 14th across from the Willard and one on F Street behind the Willard
