Jee Ian & Sonya

Sonya grew up in Perth, Australia and moved to the US to study Chemical & Biological Engineering at Princeton University. 

Ian grew up in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and also left for the US to go to Princeton University. There he studied Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and moved with Sonya to San Francisco upon graduation. After a short stint as a Mechatronics Engineer for a small hydroturbine start-up, he completed his Masters in Computer Science at Stanford University.

Currently, Ian and Sonya live together with their cat Bonito near downtown San Mateo, a town 20 minutes south of San Francisco full of great food and too many boba places. Ian is a software engineer at Tableau, a data visualization software company, and Sonya is an avid user of Tableau as a Marketing Analytics Manager at Dropbox.
