Does this even need explanation....
You will see when you get here, the giant "hill" right in the middle of town. Amazing views at the top, you can either walk or drive up.
What used to be the beginning of Bend's history is now the local outdoor shopping plaza, right on the river close to downtown.
Our favorite! There's walking paths, kids playground, a pond, and a VERY large dog park, ultimate frisbee courses, and lots more!
BEAUTIFUL nature park surrounded by trees, paths along the river, mountain bike paths, hiking trails, a fishing pond for 12 and under, and even some history to explore around the area.
This is the downtown of Bend, local shopping and eatery. Historical buildings all around walking distance to the river and parks. Be mindful of parking, we typically like to park at Drake park for free parking and a lovely short walk to downtown.
Fun food truck beer garden spot! Dog friendly and has some amazing food trucks.
Catch us here very often! Also another food truck beer garden joint & bar, but they have Pickle Ball courts and dog water on tap (like a beer tap handle!). Also really great food trucks here.
This is our favorite as well, this is also where they brew ALL their beer. You can see their system behind a glass wall while enjoying your meal. We recommend The Jaca pizza.
The heart of Bend and the heart of Deschutes River. Beautiful and easy walking paths that really captures Bend's history and nature.
Truck stop style breakfast diner with out the trucks. Oversized pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and so much more! Been around since 1960's, its a local staple!! Its also where Shelly works!
Looking for mimosas, bloody marys, lattes, and fresh ingredients? Little nicer than a diner but its absolutely worth it! We recommend the stuffed french toast!
Our go-to smoothie fix!
Our favorite drive thru coffee stop!
Such a fun place! Learn and explore the history and wildlife of Central Oregon. You can get up close to wild animals and "experience" the high desert life style. Great spot to bring the kids!
Explore the lava that built Central Oregon. So much history behind this place, they offer a shuttle service to the top of the butte for only $5. Over looking the 9-mile lava flow and cascading mountains, there is an active fire look out to check atop the butte. Trust us, its so worth it! Bring the kids and check out their mini museum for free!
Want a nature adventure? This is one of our favorite water falls to hang out at. Fairly easy trail to follow along to find a majestic water fall and some amazing lava flows. Be ready for a small parking fee and don't forget the bug spray. This is National Forest land so this is just a gentle reminder to not leave any trash behind, thank you!
