Our journey started at The Schoolhouse in Arvada, Colorado. We met on a Monday night and had our second date that following weekend at Winter Park ski area. We quickly learned that we shared many of the same interests and aspirations in life. Long story short, two years ago, we were on vacation at the Bar E Ranch in Cimarron, Colorado; just on the other side of Montrose. Ian was in town one afternoon and was offered a job. We decided to take this as a once in a lifetime opportunity and we moved to where we like to vacation. A year later, we bought the property we now call J Bar D Ranch, J|D. We hope you will enjoy our piece of paradise as much as we do. If you are unable to attend our event, please be sure to drop in on us in the future. Our property is located an hour away from Telluride, 35 minutes from Ouray and 40 minutes from Montrose. We are centrally located to many areas for hunting, fishing, horseback riding and all types of outdoor recreation. We are also only 2 hours away from Crested Butte. In the winter, we have easy access to all your outdoor activities. Don't forget about the San Juan Hut System. You can ski or bike across the entire San Juan Range and even bike to Moab and back. We love to enjoy hiking and riding our horses on the trails during summer and fall months and boating on Ridgway Reservoir or Blue Mesa Reservoir. We never run out of things to do here.
