Lots to do. An adorable downtown with so many great restaurants. Biking along the river, take the gondola up to mid mountain and get to enjoy a cocktail outdoors. A true Colorado Mountain Town.

Breckenridge

When you are heading up from Denver this is our first little mountain town. Little downtown with great food including, Beau Jo’s Pizza gotta try the crust with some honey, a truly CO classic.

Idaho Springs

Both Dillon and Frisco, Colorado are home to some of the best hikes in the state. Ranging from easy stroll to submitting 14ers, hiking up above 14,000 ft (it’s on Ian’s list of things to do) and everything in between. Lots of biking trails both road and mountain biking too if that is more your speed. Dillon Reservoir is one of our favorite spots in the summer. You can rent paddle boards, pontoon boats, and even learn how to sail in summer. As well as find a nice place to sit and relax next to the lake.

Another ski resort full of amenities, there is a spa here as well as a golf course. They do offer mountain biking in the summer as well.
