Wildwood Recreation Site. This is a small park-like site near Mt. Hood, which sits on a quiet part of the Sandy River. It'll be a bit of a squeeze with limited seating, but we look forward to getting cozy with you all :)
If you're up for it, we'd love to have you join us for both events! But no pressure—we understand the less-traditional ceremony might not be everyone’s style, and that’s totally okay 🙂. Our main goal is to spend time with you at the traditional reception on Saturday!
We're going with a term we found called "Weird Finery" for our dress code for both events. This can be defined as "ornamental, decorative, and/or showy clothing and adornments." This is closest to cocktail party attire but with an emphasis on lots of color, fun patterns, and other adornments or accessories. We encourage you to push the envelope a bit and to have fun playing with your outfit. Wear what makes you feel beautiful and stylish. If this is not your idea of fun, cocktail wedding attire is still great, as long as you feel good! Check out this Pinterest page for inspiration: https://pin.it/xjvqjM6m5 Dress code will be the same for both days. Feel free to wear the same outfit for both events or change it up. If you're planning on going to the ceremony, we strongly encourage you to wear comfortable footwear that can withstand walking in the woods.
While we love all of your kids, we would prefer both our ceremony and reception to be teens and adults only. If being unable to bring your kids presents a large burden or would prohibit you from attending, reach out to us and we can see what we can do.
A comfy pair of shoes and a good attitude! We’ll be in the woods with limited amenities but there will be bathrooms.
A little! There will be light snacks and champagne to toast the newlyweds.
Unfortunately no, though we highly encourage people to carpool. Pack in with some friends or meet someone new! Closer to the date, we’ll send out a spreadsheet for folks from out of town that aren’t renting a car to get in contact with others.
