We start our story in the middle of things, like any good legend. Amid the chaos and uncertainty of 2020 and six years into their relationship, our protagonists knew they had one thing they could always count on: each other. During a visit to see Ian's parents in St. Michaels, MD, while watching the remnants of a tropical storm cross the Chesapeake Bay, Haris made an impromptu proposal. "So, do you wanna?" With everything shut down and group gatherings out of the question, our brave, handsome, intelligent, heroes climbed the stairs to their apartment's roof, got on a courthouse Zoom, and clinched those sweet, sweet legal protections. Then they put on their best tracksuits and hung out in their living room. The day was magical and unique, but something was missing. That something was all of you. Four years later to the day, we invite the people closest and most important to us to gather, party, celebrate, and get some nice photos to prove we got married.
