Mount Bierstadt
Located along the scenic Guanella Pass Road, the Bierstadt Trailhead leads guests to one of Colorado’s most beloved 14ers—Mount Bierstadt. This 3.6-mile route offers a stunning alpine journey, beginning with a gentle descent toward Scott Gomer Creek. From there, the trail rises through lush willows and onto a broad northwest shoulder. As hikers approach the summit, the path becomes rocky and less defined, inviting adventurers to choose their footing wisely and preserve the fragile alpine vegetation. Whether you're hiking or simply soaking in the high-altitude serenity, it’s a breathtaking experience to remember. Permits are required. Due to the mountain's popularity, it is advisable to obtain permits early.
Indian Hot Springs
Located 40 minutes west of Denver in Idaho Springs, Indian Hot Springs offers an enclosed hot springs spa with geothermal pools, a tropical greenhouse, and an interactive cave experience. Kid and adult-friendly, the spa is open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM and costs $22 a person.
Georgetown Loop Railroad

Hiwan Heritage Park
An adorable museum that showcases a variety of exhibits and programs. This preserved log lodge offers a peek into mountain life, including Native American art and other exhibits. Once a summer retreat for one of Colorado's first female doctors, the property evolved into a charming gem registered on the National Register of Historic Places.
