Harry A. Nottingham Park
This is a great place to walk and relax on the mountain "beach". There is a playground, fishing dock, and large grassy area for relaxing. You can swim, rent a paddle boat, SUP, or kayak. They also have different events offered throughout the week/weekend. Visit the town of Avon website for an event calendar.
Forest Flyer Alpine Coaster
Ride the Forest Flyer Alpine Coaster on top of Vail Mountain! Take the gondola up and enjoy the breathtaking views! We do recommend letting yourself acclimate to the elevation before partaking in any activities on top of the mountain. Even the healthiest of people can have a hard time with this high elevation.
Vail Farmers' Market
The Vail Farmers market is every Sunday (9:30am-3pm) in the summer and is a huge outdoor market with lots of great local businesses and food. This is one of Cassidy's favorite parts of summer in Vail! Walk around, get a bite to eat, and even dip your feet into the river while you enjoy the beautiful summer weather in Vail.
Hiking in Vail
There are so many great hikes in and around Vail. Summer is the best time to hike and capture beautiful scenery! Again, we always recommend acclimating yourself to the elevation and staying extra hydrated. The weather can change very suddenly so we always recommend keeping a rain jacket with you as well as lathering up with sunscreen. The Colorado sun is a lot stronger than you may think.

Northside has great breakfast and homemade donuts and pastries! We highly recommend grabbing a donut togo!
