Flight
The Richmond Airport is located a little over an hour away. In our personal opinion, if possible the Richmond Airport is much easier to navigate and is a much nicer drive up to Fredericksburg then the Reagan Airport. If you travel into the Richmond Airport we do recommend you rent a car and drive up to Fredericksburg. If renting a car does not accommodate you and your family, you can take the Amtrak as well.
Flight
Washington DC is located about an hour from the Inn at the Old Silk Mill. If you travel into the Reagan Airport we do recommend you rent a car and drive down to Fredericksburg. If renting a car does not accommodate you and your family, you can take the metro and catch the Amtrak at Union station as well.
Train
The Fredericksburg Amtrak station is located roughly 2 minutes from the Inn at the Old Silk Mill. The Amtrak is a great way of travel, as we have loved all of our experiences on the Amtrak. This is a also an option for those who are flying in to DC or Richmond as both airports are conveniently located near an Amtrak station.
Rental Car
If you are joining us from out of town this may be a great option for transportation from the airport to Fredericksburg. As Fredericksburg is located right in between DC and Richmond. The venue is also located near highway 95 and route 1 making to an easy drive from one place to the other.
