Our first date (and many more!). Don't miss the otters.

Museum: Renwick Gallery
1661 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20006, (202) 633-2850

Shopping: Capitol Hill Books
657 C Street Southeast, Washington, DC 20003, (202) 544-1621
Floor-to-ceiling books. Snarky signs. Fire code violations? You have to see this place to believe it.
Drinks: The Midlands Beer Garden
3333 Georgia Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20010
Big beer garden for big steins of beer. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. BYO food!
Food and Drinks: DC Reynolds
3628 Georgia Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20010, (202) 506-7178
Best happy hour in the city. Buy-one-get-one free on all drinks from 5-9pm Mon-Sat. Amazing food menu rounds it out.
Food and Drinks: Chicken + Whiskey
1738 14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009, (202) 667-2456
Delicious South American chicken in front, secret whiskey and cocktail bar in back.
Food: Sakuramen Ramen Bar
2441 18th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20009, (202) 656-5285
Basement-level ramen shop with the best ramen in the city. No reservations, and there will be a wait, but 100% worth the wait 100% of the time.
Food: Beau Thai Mount Pleasant
3162 Mount Pleasant Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20010, (202) 450-5317
Our favorite Thai place. Order the Beau Thai Chicken and you'll never go wrong.
Food: Tiger Fork
922 Blagden Alley, Washington, DC 20001, (202) 733-1152
Gourmet Chinese "takeout" food. You'll probably need reservations well ahead of time, so plan accordingly. Save room for the insane dessert waffle sundae from the picture, you won't regret it.
