Site of our second date and our proposal! Plenty of walking trails through the woods, and site of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial.

Across the street from our venue! The huge park has plenty of outdoors space, some amazing architecture, and interesting statues.

See the presidential portraits, and bring coffee, lunch, or a book into the covered courtyard.
Museum: Renwick Gallery
Bite-sized modern art museum across the street from the White House. You can see it all in a couple hours and exhibits rotate frequently.
Shopping: Capitol Hill Books
Floor-to-ceiling books. Snarky signs. Fire code violations? You have to see this place to believe it.
Drinks: The Midlands Beer Garden
Big beer garden for big steins of beer. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space. BYO food!
Food and Drinks: DC Reynolds
Best happy hour in the city. Buy-one-get-one free on all drinks from 5-9pm Mon-Sat. Amazing food menu rounds it out.

Food: Sakuramen Ramen Bar
Basement-level ramen shop with the best ramen in the city. No reservations, and there will be a wait, but 100% worth the wait 100% of the time.
Food: Beau Thai Mount Pleasant
Our favorite Thai place. Order the Beau Thai Chicken and you'll never go wrong.
Food: Tiger Fork
Gourmet Chinese "takeout" food. You'll probably need reservations well ahead of time, so plan accordingly. Save room for the insane dessert waffle sundae from the picture, you won't regret it.
