FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as you can! When you know your decision, Ian and I want to know too! At the very latest, please RSVP by August 1st.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered right here on Zola! Please especially consider donating to our featured fund, the downpayment of our house. Ian, Abby, and their dog Pepper love their home dearly, and hope to make it officially theirs soon. We are so grateful for any contribution, big or small.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Depending on your invitation, you may be invited to our Vow Ceremony and Reception, or our Private Mass to Celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage. Please note that only our immediate family and wedding party are invited to the Sacrament of Marriage, and that, likely, you are only invited to our Vow Ceremony and Reception. If you're unsure of which part of the day you're invited to, please contact Abby or Ian directly! For Vow Ceremony and Reception goers, please arrive by 4:00pm. A shuttle will be running to take guests from the Residence Inn to our venue. Departure times are at 3:15, 3:30, and LAST SHUTTLE at 3:45. For Sacrament of Marriage goers, please arrive by 12:30pm.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding has a bit of a unique dress code. Think: GARDEN PARTY FORMAL! Women should wear their most fabulous and whimsical midi or ankle length dress. Can be solid color or patterned, and should follow the color palate of light and dark pinks, creamsicle orange, tangerine, butter yellow, sunflower yellow, natural light and dark greens, sky blue, cornflower blue, lavender, and lilac. Please avoid red or black dresses. Men should wear a suit and tie or bow tie, and should follow the color palate of warm browns, mauve, navy and blues, or natural dark greens. Please avoid black or sand suits. Note that the groom will be wearing sand, and bridesmaids do not have a set dress code. Keep in mind that you will be walking on grass for much of the event. We want our guests to feel amazing and fashionable, so wear what makes you feel stunning!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless your invitation specifies a plus-one, you may not bring a date.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but this wedding is for adults only! The only exception is for our lovely flower girls.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We strongly suggest booking a room in our hotel block. Please see the "accommodations" tab for more information.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at both of our venues. For the Sacrament of Marriage, please park in the St. John's School lot, just to the right of the church. There will be ample parking at the Farmstead as well!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

For the Sacrament of Marriage, there will be no transportation offered (except for our wedding party and close family). For our Vow Ceremony and Reception, there will be a shuttle running to take you to and from our designated hotel. When heading to the ceremony, departure times are at 3:15, 3:30, and LAST SHUTTLE at 3:45. Once you arrive at The Farmstead, you are free to explore the outdoor areas of the venue, as well as enjoy beverages and fresh honeycrisp apple slices from the orchard next door.
