Wedding Party

Meet our friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Kisha Watler

Bridesmaid

Kisha and Rachel have been friends since 2020 and met each other at Orchard church, a wonderful chance meeting. This is what Kisha would like to say about a favorite memory or story, “Rachel is such a caring, selfless, and loving friend. There are so many precious memories that we have built together in the years that we have been best friends. Some memories make me laugh, some make me emotional, and yet some remind me of the wonderful friend that Rachel is. With that being said, I have several favorite memories with Rachel. There are a couple that I would like to share. One of them being the first time that we went out for coffee together. We spent 4 hours chatting away. Both of us knew by the end of that day that we would be best friends. Another favorite memory is when she made my wedding dress from scratch. She spent several hours on it which displayed her selflessness. She also drove me to all the places I needed to go on my wedding day! This is also an example of how selfless and loving she is. I have several more precious memories with Rachel like when she rescued me, when we dance partied, when we cried together but those will be a story for another time…”

Cody Duneman

Groomsman

Cody and Hayden grew up together going to the same church and school. After bonding over sports and marching band, they quickly became close friends after high school. For a favorite memory, Cody had this to say: “Hayden and I use to go to a place called Stockton Lake, just North of where we grew up. We spent a lot of summer nights up there swimming, cliff jumping, and grilling out. At one of the cliffs we use to jump off of there were multiple heights you could chose from and the highest point you had to walk around to the other side of the lake which was probably about a 1/4 mile. So Hayden and I tagged along with a couple of others who we had just met and decided to jump off with them. Now the problem wasn’t jumping off, it was the fact we had to swim about 300 meters back to where our stuff is. So I jumped first and then Hayden went. Since the lake was pretty crowded I kinda lost Hayden but I was faithful he would catch back up with me. I got about halfway and stopped for a second to take a breather. I look around and still can’t find him. I was a little concerned at this point until I heard his voice call out. I look to my left and sure enough, he was on a boat with a bunch of random people smiling and waving at me! I knew he wasn’t going to swim back !

Brittany Bowman

Bridesmaid

Brittany and Rachel have been friends since 2016. Rachel loved getting to be apart of Brittany’s wedding in 2021 and now seeing her as a mom with her sweet daughter has been so special. Brittany had this to say about their special memory or story together, “I wouldn’t necessarily call it ‘one particular memory’ but I would say that the several years of friendship and countless hours chatting and talking about our faith at coffee shops has been very special! It’s been exciting to see both of us go through different stages of life!”

Navy Nick

Groomsman

Navy Nick met Hayden @ his Karaoke show in downtown San Diego & it was an instant connection because he too, was an entertainer. Once they found out they also worked @ the same hotel, it was a bro-ship forever. Hayden and Nick’s friendship turned family will forever be & I am so thankful for every moment.

Candace Burwell

Bridesmaid

Candace and Rachel have been the best of friends since meeting at Baylor in 2017. Through every change and season they continued to remain close and travel back and forth from CA to TX to see each other. Candace had this to say when choosing a favorite memory: “I consider it to be a great thing that it is hard to pick just 1 memory when there are so many that have meant so much to me over the years. My favorite quality about our friendship is this saying, that I honestly don’t remember how it became a thing, but it’s a metaphor of a car and how I am the gas and Rachel is the brakes. Over the years we both pushed each other in ways that we both have needed and have always been there for each other. If there was ever a time Rachel seemed like she was hesitating to go for something I would be cheering her on fueling our little friendship car like LETS GOO!! And at times when I have taken off with only a concept of a plan Rachel has been the person to help me slow down in the areas that I needed to. Our friendship is like a safe space for the both of us that I will forever be grateful for 🩷”

Jeremy Onstott

Groomsman

Hayden is excited to have his younger brother Jeremy by his side for the big day. Here is what Jeremy had to say about Hayden and their relationship: “Hayden is more than a brother to me. He chose to go above and beyond to help raise me just like he does in many other areas of his life. Hayden’s genuine care for others, humor, confidence, and ambition are a few of the many things I admire about him. Hayden has taught me several life lessons about having fun, being confident, maturity, and much more, but the most important lesson he has taught me is the importance of following Christ. Hayden played a major role in strengthening my faith, and the Lord has led Hayden and I down amazing avenues in our spiritual journey. I’m convinced God said “jackpot” when He made Hayden because just look at him. I’m very proud to call Hayden my brother and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for the chapter of Hayden and Rachel.”

Sabrina Stillman

Bridesmaid

Sabrina and Rachel have been best friends since 3rd grade and have many many cherished memories together. Even though it was hard to pick one moment Sabrina had this to say about a favorite memory: “Rachel has been one of my best friends since we were 8 years old. Through all of life’s surprises, changes, good moments, and difficult moments Rachel has been a constant source of support, kindness, and laughter in my life. It is hard to choose favorite memory with Rachel. I cherish every laugh-till-you-cry moment — like playing ghosts in the graveyard with Rachel and her mom during a sleepover — as well as every moment of selfless support — like when Rachel took time out of her lunches and breaks in high school to help me when I was struggling with math. I am extremely blessed to have Rachel in my life; she is a rare kind of friend. I am beyond honored to take part in her special day.”

Nick Hooper

Groomsman

If a picture could be a thousand words it would be this one. I have known this man for 12 years now and can gladly say he is one of my best friends. We can quote SpongeBob religiously and pick up right where we left off if we haven’t talked for weeks. He is a great human being and glad to see him grow into the Godly man I see today. He will always remember me as the man who shook his hand in the hallway at Willard High school and say “nice job Hayden” (he knows what I mean) love you bubba.

Madeline Paine

Bridesmaid

Madi and Rachel have been friends since 2018 and met each other while attending Baylor. Rachel has loved being apart of Madi’s life including celebrating Madi’s marriage and wedding this past year. Madi had this to say about a favorite memory together: “My favorite memories of Rachel are from our time together as Community Leaders (RA’s) at Baylor. We shared so many moments—going to church (often with one of Rachel's residents she had invited), goofing off in the dining halls, and having deep conversations about God. What stands out most is Rachel's genuine heart for those around her. She was always praying for her residents, coworkers, and friends. I often tell people that Rachel 'drips' wisdom, and there’s no one I’d rather have a long-distance friendship with!”

Logan Simeonoff

Groomsman

Hayden and Logan have been friends for the past couple of years when he was living in San Diego. They have bonded over many beach trips and their love of SpongeBob quotes. Here is what Logan had to say of his favorite memory with Hayden: “All memories involving Hayden include beach volleyball and are great memories, but my favorite memory is when he decided to dedicate all of his volleyball serves to various female figures like Dolly Parton and Betty white.. then proceeded to put their names to shame with terrible serves.”
