Jordan's take: Jake and I met when we were both working at Integer 7 years ago. I of course had spotted him right away and found him very attractive! After a work outing where we flirted the whole time, Jake emailed me with some witty banter, and clearly wanted to continue the flirting. And I was happy he did. Our relationship moved from emailing to instant messaging at work, and talking during lunch breaks in the cafeteria (scandalous, I know!). After daily chats, notes left on desks, and gifts from Ireland, it was clear we were both interested in each other. I convinced Jake to join our work sand volleyball team (against his better judgement) and despite our team being one of the least athletic teams in the league, he continued to show up. And then FINALLY, Jake asked me on our first date to an Iowa Hawkeyes football game. It was the perfect first date. And I knew the rest was going to be history. When you know you know! Jake's take: I always envisioned myself as a lone wolf without a need for a lifelong companion. But one day, a cute girl started working downstairs, and instinct completely took over. I made excuses to wander down to her territory to mark my scent. And through the random (totally planned) interactions, the start of a relationship began to form. It should have been painstakingly obvious I liked her, maybe even more than I wanted to admit. Hell, I even joined a one-win volleyball team at her request. Yep, we were awful. But while I continued to play it cool, the moment I knew she was my person was at a company kickball game. Instead of laughing at my well-timed jokes or complimenting my stellar play in the field that day, she stood at second base talking shit -- and challenged me to bring my A-game. Six years later, she’s still challenging me to be the best version of myself. She's everything I wanted and everything I needed. We truly make the perfect pack.
