In China, the traditional wedding color is red, which embodies happiness and good luck for the couple. You also can find the character "喜" or "囍" in many designs, which means happiness for the newly-weds and it is pronounced as "xi". It is also very common for couples to give guests candies, "喜糖", as favors.

The dress code is formal. Gowns, knee-length cocktail dresses, and pantsuits for ladies and suit and ties for men are all welcomed! Please reserve white and red outfits for the bride.
