Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding is a Black Tie optional event! This can look like floor length gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, or tuxedos. Think of it as a formal event. Please refrain from wearing white, cream, or ivory. This is a wedding y'all, don't be rude!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We love all our friends, family, and their loved ones. But our wedding day is an invite only event! All plus one information has been communicated through the applicable invitations. If you have a plus one, your RSVP card will reflect that!

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

As two teachers, everyone knows we love the kids! But on this special day we desire a childfree environment. Please make appropriate accommodations so that you can be child free and careless for the night!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will start promptly at 6:00. In consideration of potential Friday evening traffic or slow downs, we suggest you plan to arrive by 5:30. You will not be able to enter and find a seat once the ceremony has begun.

Question

Is everything in the same place?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place in the same venue. And while we love the beautiful weather we are fortunate to get during a good Chicago fall, everything will take place indoors. There will be opportunities for coat check if the weather insists!

Question

Is there parking? How do I get there?

Answer

Our venue is located off of Fulton and Bell in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago. Typing "Fairlie" into Google Maps or Apple Maps will get you there no problem. We are lucky enough to have a parking lot across the street, if you plan to drive yourself or car pool! If you know us, you know this WILL be a party. So if you intend to partake, in adult beverages that is, please plan appropriately. Whether that be a designated driver or an Uber! Your safety is our #1 priority.

Question

How do I let you know of my dietary restriction?

Answer

In your designated RSVP link be sure to indicate if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. If you forget or things change, no big deal! Shoot us an email at TuckerforTwo@gmail.com!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Would we be US without an open bar? No way! While our bar is indeed open for our wedding celebration, our amazing bartenders deserve a little extra tip. So bring that random cash as an extra special thank you!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are going unplugged! Our ceremony is extra special to us and we have been waiting a long time to have this moment. Please respect our wishes, and the amazing work of our photographers, by not taking any pictures or videos during our ceremony. BUT we do love our incredible venue and of course a good photo-op, so listen closely for our officiant to give you the go ahead on when you can snap a photo of the Bride and Groom! During the reception and cocktail hour, or any time before the ceremony begins, please feel free to take as many as you desire. Just be sure to use the hashtag #TuckerForTwo on social media!
