In January of 2018, after Tyler embarrassingly busted out Rebekah at the bar of a party for being 3 months shy of her 21st birthday, the two hit it off via the most millennial way possible----twitter. Their first date was at a Kansas City movie theater where they saw Avengers: Infinity wars, and their love was blissfully planted. After a few months of long distance while Tyler finished his tasks in Kansas City, they reunited at their alma mater, Mizzou. They bonded over Rebekah's dedication to catching up on all the Marvel movies ever made, all the chicken wings their stomachs could take, the sunsets over Columbia's hiking trails, lots of board games, and of course their love for one another. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in 2019, Rebekah returned home to Chicago while Tyler completed his Masters degree program at Mizzou, and thus the two began their long distance journey again. But, as with all things, a silver lining was amidst. 2020 had its share of surprises, including an early reunion for these two. With both Tyler and Rebekah back in their favorite place, their love continued to grow and change. Conversations of new found hobbies, traveling, friendship, moving, and a future together seemed more and more frequent. These two went from strangers at a bar, to inseparable best friends.

In August of 2020 Tyler and Rebekah decided to stop by a jewelry store to browse through some rings before they left the mall. While the two knew they would one day be married, purchasing a ring wasn't necessarily in the conversation. While looking, Rebekah came across her dream ring. Tyler claims her face said it all. After an exchange of words with an associate, the two left. Little did Rebekah know that while she was using the bathroom, Tyler sprinted through Orland Park Mall and purchased that exact ring with no hesitation. Sneakily he tucked it in his bag and waited for the right moment. While a few bumps were hit in the road of Tylers planning process, Covid can certainly cause that kind of thing, the perfect moment didn't come but instead he crafted it himself. On September 18, 2021 Tyler proposed to Rebekah at Ping Tom Park during a photoshoot. With the skyline behind them, and one of their favorite songs playing in the background, their journey to forever began with a tearful and excited "Yes". Surrounded by family and friends following the love filled moment, Tyler and Rebekah grinned with excitement at the thought of growing old together. They are so excited to begin their life together as one, and thank you for celebrating with them as they become #Tuckerfortwo!
