Her Side: I met Michael on my first day of work. Naturally, I texted my friends right away—not just about how excited I was for my new job, but also about the very cute guy I had just met. As we started talking, we realized we had several mutual friends from the University of Minnesota and quickly made plans to hang out strictly as friends. That plan didn’t last long. Eventually, we both admitted we wanted to be more than friends. I did my best to play hard-to-get for as long as possible, but Michael was persistent, and we finally made our relationship official in the Fall. His side: When she walked in on her first day, I definitely noticed. We hit it off right away, and even though we kept saying we were “just friends,” I think everyone around us knew better. In fact, one of our coworkers later told me they could see the spark between us immediately. It took a little time (and some convincing on my part), but eventually we made it official. The rest, as they say, is history.
