How We Met

High School Sweethearts

In 2010, as juniors in high school, the junior proms were fast approaching. Although a student at Marshfield High, Lindsay quickly became friends with a number of Silver Lake Regional High School students through one of her best friends (and bridesmaid), Devon Morse. Devon thought it would be really fun to have Lindsay come to the Silver Lake junior prom and decided she would find Lindsay a date. One night in February of 2010, Devon invited Lindsay along with Ryan Smith, Nate Petrou and Andrew to go bowling. The night started off with some bowling and awkward teenage conversations. Little did Lindsay know, that this night would introduce her to some of her best friends and her future husband. Andrew and Lindsay called it official on April 6, 2010 and the rest is history!

The "Yes!" Day

And 11 years later ...

On July 20, 2018, Lindsay's sister Emily and her then boyfriend (now husband!) Jeremy were in town from Washington D.C. Emily and Lindsay thought it would be a fun idea to do a nice dinner out in the city since the four never really got to see each other. The four decided to go to Legal Harborside down in the Boston Seaport and everyone would meet down there after work. It turned out to be the most picture perfect day of the summer. Lindsay met Emily and Jeremy to get a drink beforehand before Andrew met them after work. The sun was shining and there was hardly a cloud in the sky. When Andrew showed up for dinner, he had his rain jacket in tow with everyone telling Lindsay, "oh there's a chance of showers later." The four got one of the best tables in the restaurant, right on the water, which is almost unheard of on a busy Friday night. After a great seafood dinner (and a few margaritas), Jeremy said a few of his friends were in town and were at Committee and Andrew said that some of his new coworkers were at The Barking Crab. The four decided they would go their separate ways for a drink or two and then meet up again afterwards. Andrew suggested to Lindsay that they walk along the Fan Pier since it was so beautiful out. With the most amazing view of Boston, Andrew and Lindsay walked along the water towards the Barking Crab. About 3 minutes away from the Barking Crab, Andrew stopped Lindsay and held her hand and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. The two then celebrated with their family and friends including a surprise visit from Lindsay's college best friend Anna, who flew in with 24 hours notice to join in on the celebrations.
