Laura didn’t know how to play cribbage, take a Jägermeister shot, or just how long a Phish jam really could be. Who would have guessed that three years after that first date, all of those things would have changed? We wouldn’t have it any other way. Before we were engaged, we started as coworkers at a fintech company in Chicago. After meeting at a karaoke happy hour, Alex knew he wanted to get to know Laura better. After hearing Alex belt out a sparkling rendition of Billy Joel’s “Movin’ Out,” the feeling was surely mutual. From our first date on, things moved quickly but felt exceedingly natural. By October we were standing on a baseball field in Kalamazoo, Michigan surrounded by 200 corgis. By New Year’s Eve we were eating falafel at 3 a.m. after seeing Phish at Madison Square Garden. Normal “new relationship” stuff. Since then, things have continued in that vein - living spontaneously, visiting thirteen states, 100+ breweries and sharing laughs, tears, and special moments together. We're thrilled to have you as part of our special day together. Hope to see you on August 1, 2020! - Laura & Alex
