When should I book my stay?

Answer

As soon as possible. We ask that you have booked your stay (with at least a $100 deposit) by October 15, 2025. The sooner you book, the more likely the resort can accommodate any of your requests while maintaining our room block rate.

When is payment due?

Answer

The resort requires a deposit of $100/per person (minimum) at the time of booking; however, another amount or full payment can be made at this time and any time up until the final due date January 22nd, 2026. Feel free to make incremental payments also or ask Christine to set up an automatic payment schedule if you prefer.

What if the room I want is not available?

Answer

No problem! We have a room block with several different room types reserved, but if your preference isn't available and you book early, our travel agent Christine can work with the resort to try to secure a room type at our block rate.

Can I use my own travel agent or book online?

Answer

Please, we ask that you do not do this. Our room contract is tied to our wedding contract. If rooms are booked outside of our agent, it will negatively impact our plans and will create confusion for the wedding event.

What is included during the stay?

Answer

Hard Rock Riviera Maya is an all-inclusive resort with unlimited food and drinks (including alcohol).

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Beach Formal: Light and breathable fabrics. Sundresses, maxi dresses, or jumpsuits for women. Linen shirts or button-downs with dress shorts or light slacks for men.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, and please be sure it does not expire within 6 months of the trip.

What is the minimum number of nights to stay?

Answer

The baseline minimum to book is 3 nights.

What if I want to stay longer than what is available?

Answer

Why do I have to book so early?

Answer

Booking early allows us to secure a great rate for guests while also adhering to the policies and terms of our contract agreement with the hotel. In addition, the wedding department needs to have a headcount so they can finalize our group in advance of our stay.

Do I need travel insurance?

Answer

No, but it is encouraged. There is an option to add travel insurance to your trip at the time of booking.

What if I can not attend the wedding?

Answer

We completely understand if you are unable to attend our wedding (though you will be greatly missed)! We will be emailing guests who have not booked in a few months, which will give you the opportunity to let us know.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the only gift we ask for. If you still feel inclined to send us a gift, below is a link to our registry
