OUR STORY.

A glance during class, a spark we couldn’t ignore—that’s where it all began.

Hunter had only been a member at Athens Health Club for about a week when someone encouraged her to try the class—rumored to be the hardest one the gym had to offer: Bulletproof with Steve. She had no idea who "Steve" was, assuming he was just another group fitness instructor. She was very wrong. The moment Steve walked into the room, Hunter’s first thought was, “Who is that—and why do I have this feeling I need to know him?” As the class went on, there were exchanged glances, a few shared smirks, and a quiet energy neither of them could ignore. When the class ended, Steve introduced himself—just being polite, Hunter thought. But little did she know, the moment Steve saw her walk in, he had the exact same thought: “Who is that girl, and how do I get to know her?” A few weeks (and a few more classes) later, they went on their first date. And the rest, as they say, is history.

THE PROPOSAL.

Three feet of snow, and one big "Yes"

In January, a few of Hunter’s friends planned a weekend getaway to Stonewall Resort, West Virginia. One of her closest friends, Emily—who also happens to be an incredible photographer—was coming along for the trip. What Hunter didn’t know was that Emily and Steve had secretly been planning something much bigger. Just days before the trip, a rare winter storm blanketed the resort in nearly two feet of snow. Then, the night before the big day, another foot fell, turning the landscape into a magical winter wonderland. While the girls spent the morning at the spa, the guys were quietly preparing for what was to come. That afternoon, Hunter thought Emily was simply taking fun photos of everyone enjoying the snow. But before she knew it, Steve was down on one knee—surrounded by three feet of snow—asking the biggest question of his life. And without hesitation, Hunter gave the easiest “Yes!” she’s ever said.
